Been in Portland 16 years and I haven’t found a better sub shop yet! Family owned, classic Portland spot. Amazing teriyaki chicken. Highly recommended!!

If you don’t know about Taste Tickler, now you do. Insanely delicious sandwiches - can’t go wrong with the Famous Tickler (ham, salami & pepperoni). The bread is perfectly cooked. The proportions are immaculate. And the flavors are outstanding, plus there are lots of customization options so you can get whatever tickles your fancy (pun intended). Staff is very nice and helpful. Not tons of room for seating, but the sandwich always travels well and tastes delicious after a short trek.

This small locally owned API business makes the tastiest sandwiches. For more than 15 years I’ve been patronizing this establishment and I have never been disappointed.At lunch times they are so busy that wait times can be between 30-45 minutes so I suggest ordering in advance online so you can just grab and go.

Great sub!!!!! I ordered turkey and provolone and it was delicious. I found this place through other reviews, and it seems to be very popular as take out for lunch. There were a few tables outside on the sidewalk and none inside. The door to get into the place is short, we had to duck our heads. It's literally a hole in the wall place. The inside is dingy and unorganized and I was happy to duck back outside to wait for our order. It has high reviews for the good food, not the atmosphere.

I have always loved this mom and Pop sub shop! I’ve been going here since high school for the last 25 years or so and still never disappoint! You’ve gotta try their signature taste tickler sandwich, epic!

Oh man oh man! First time here, we tried the Bulgogi and the Famous Tickler and they were both delicious! They have very limited seating outside and I cant recall seeing any inside. It’s a small corner shop but they do have parking, which is always appreciated! We waited about 20 minutes for our food and other than a flat Dr Pepper, everything was good. 10/10 recommend

Famous tickler is the sandwich I've been craving for 25 years that I haven't had since I was kid on the east coast. And that fluffy bread? ooooooooooooo chefs kiss. What are you doing reading this? Stop, go get a sandwich
